Leadership Kitsap Alumni Association (LKAA)

The Alumni of the Leadership Kitsap program have gained a broad perspective on Kitsap community issues and have developed the leadership skills necessary to make a valuable contribution to a wide array of community boards. Alumni of the Leadership Kitsap program represent a cross-section of private, public, and non-profit sectors. The LKAA leadership group, which includes a representative from each LK graduating class, meets monthly and any LK graduate is welcome to attend these meetings. Additionally, the LKAA conducts an Annual Meeting each fall.

The LKAA officers invite all alumni to

  • learn about and contribute to the NEW Leadership Kitsap Endowment managed by the Kitsap Community Foundation.  A contribution to the Leadership Kitsap Fund is an acknowledgement of the high quality Leadership Kitsap program and is a way to recognize the hard work done by members of the board, past and present, the class members and graduates.  The endowment will assist in ensuring the future stability of the organization, provide a means to help cover operating expenses, enhance the curriculum or fund special projects. Leadership Kitsap is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and your donation may be tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
  • show your pride by purchasing and wearing official Leadership Kitsap Apparel.  Print out the order form and mail it with your check to LK Apparel Order, 647 4th Street, Bremerton, WA 98337. Orders are placed once a month.
  • find a new volunteer opportunity to match your passion.  The United Way Volunteer Opportunities searchable database was started as a Leadership Kitsap Class Project!  Kitsap County's Volunteer Services page lists current board openings  as well as other volunteer opportunities.

Alumni meet for social events and to continue to help the community in many ways through their numerous volunteer efforts. They also participate in the planning and delivery of Challenge Days and Retreats. They serve on the Board of Directors and on various committees.
